About Zaránd

Informed decisions in energy can keep the lights on, protect the environment, and families' wealth. It took me one project to get addicted to the euphoria when a decision-maker, instead of rushing a decision, takes a look at your work and genuinely considers the consequences on the environment or on the people carrying the burden.

My focus on the electricity grid might not seem to compare to people fighting deforestation, or fighting on behalf of oppressed communities. But the seemingly minor differences in decision-making may prevent power outages, or save families' fortunes that can make significant differences in their quality of life.

As I transition from academia into consultancy, even during my academic studies I focused on sustainability, namely solar photovoltaics. This motivated me to widen my scope across energy systems as a whole, to facilitate the transition to affordable, reliable, and sustainable nationwide electricity.
