About Sebastiaan

Since 2024, I have been working at Kalavasta as a Transition Consultant. The core of my work consists of building a shared understanding of problems with clients, creating insights that connect analysis to reality, and advising on decisions that can be made from there.

My work spans climate policy assessment, transition cost modelling, and energy system scenario analysis. The sectors I focus on most are the built environment, mobility, industry, and grid infrastructure. My primary interest lies in policy- and cost analysis for government, companies and households. Details matter to me, as well as communicating key messages clearly.

Outside of work, I golf (quite the obsession), enjoy cooking, and seek out nature, whether with friends, walking or just sitting in silence. My favourite work related quotes: "The ambitious man is afraid to be what he is." & "Freedom is always at the beginning, not at the end.".
